What it is
Family reunification allows people staying legally in Italy to request the entry of certain family members. The request for clearance (nulla osta) is filed online with the Single Desk for Immigration at the Prefettura; income and housing requirements apply. Once clearance is granted, the family member applies for a visa at the Italian consulate.
